July 2007 releases
Posted by Renato Ribeiro on July 13th, 2007 |
Patch Tuesday was last Tuesday, and so, here are the July releases.
At the moment, there are only available AutoPatcher Vista and AutoPatcher XP/2003 x64 releases. Blaze is working in the other much wanted releases (AutoPatcher XP, 2000 and 2003) and will release them when they are ready.
Check the download links in our download page.
The Portuguese July releases are available in AutoPatcher's Portuguese homepage.
Thanks,
Renato

Ok, I’ll just wait for the WinXP SP2 (32-bit) version then.
I was a bit surprised the lack of comments before I read the announcement/post completely. =b

About Office releases: we had a problem before that was that the modules would be loaded by the OS language and not by the Office language (important for non-english users). Erik is working on that, and that means, a lot of work to do…

I’m willing to bet it is a small % who use differernt languages between their OS & Office and why would one unless one of the two is pirated and they can’t get what language they really want (especially since the advent of language packs / translation packs in ‘03 & I think in ‘07 ? Is this worth it to hold up everyone else that uses one language? …especially when some not-heads are more concerned with the inclusion of “BSD” as a “tweak” and other self-serving requests. Maybe you should poll the users like U did with BSD.
So realistically does this mean Office ‘03 & ‘07 will not likely be completed until next year?

Oh yeah, what are your plans for “Home Server” which MS released yesterday to OEM’’s?

^^ You’re so wrong. Here in Portugal (and in many other countries that don’t have English as their first language), many companies have Portuguese (or local) versions of Windows and English versions of Office. Universities too, etc. And they don’t pirate.
And yes, it’s worth to hold that and make sure that everything loads just fine.
No, realistic means that Office versions are going to be released in the next few months.

At least now I know enough to just check once a month for Office status when I look for new AP’s, a week after Patch Tuesday.
Thank you.
