No New Updates Until February
First off, let me start off by telling everybody that the AutoPatcher project is alive and well. Along with the AutoPatcher comes AutoPatcher Updater aka APUP which will download all modules from our web server and all updates directly from Microsoft. We are still working out the bugs within APUP so please be patient with the development phase. For more information, known bugs, and a download link, check out the forums!
See the Anouncements thread within the forum for the link to APUP.
With all that said, time to give everybody some bad news. For the month of January, we have almost reached our download cap. For this reason, there won’t be any new updates until February. Additionally until we work something out, Java and the additional wallpaper included within the Extra’s Addon Pack won’t be included (a lesson learned by yours truly)
Until then, give us a shout out in the forums. Will ya!?! >wink<

How will the new AutoPatcher be different from c’t’s Offline Update?
January 24th, 2008 at 1:28 pm
Because it still uses the old AutoPatcher to do the checking and installing of patches/programs ;)

your download page is a 404 how can i download anything?

Go into the forum and you will find a link in the Anoucement’s thread =)
Also Autopatcher is the same ole autopatcher. APUP basically will download any new modules/programs from Microsoft. c’t’s basically does this once a month, which the AP team tries to get it out on the day of a new release or a couple days after

c’t’s app will also install all patches with no user interaction. it’s a good little app for a hands-off approach, but i like a little more control. Looking forward to an Apup I can use.

Is c’t’s the one that creates an Admin account? I tries it on a Windows 2000 machine and got locked out of the machine. You want to talk buggy…that thing is buggy!
I had to go in and rebuild the machine.

How about offloading the bandwidth into the Coral network ?

This is just the sort of thing it is set up for, & it won’t cost anyone.

I got bored on Window$. I have tried an Ubuntu Live CD and I found it much better. Anyway does the new Autopatcher update your system offline or online.
Why including IE7 in Autopatcher. IE sucks great!

Hello, March coming .. any plans to update?

Thanks for providing updates for this bug full OS. However if all updates have to be installed and patching is not off line I would not like to us the new Autopatcher!

I DLed APUP 1.03 and tried it on a fresh XP Pro SP2 install.
APUP DLed about 300+ megs then produced an error message and asked if I would like to proceed anyway.
Bwahahahahahahahahahaha…. No!

I relly have to see wht the new Auto Patcher works, cos if we have to be online for it to update Windows we run the risk of an unsecure system on the internet! Also why cant we use Windows Update, online anyways?
