To all the Loyal
AutoPatcher Fans:
Most of you probably have noticed that I've been away from the
AutoPatcher project for the better part of 4+ months. This is
not because I don't believe in the project or wish it to fail.
In fact, I still use the AutoPatcher almost weekly at my job.
The reason for my taking leave is simply that I have no time to
continue working on the program. I work a full 40+ hour job as
the IS Coordinator of a decent sized company here in the US.
When I'm not there I'm also a moderator and part of the graphics
staff at Neowin.net. Besides that, I am engaged to a beautiful
woman and spend a lot of my time with her (don't need to lose her
over a program). Most weekends I spend helping either her
parents, or mine with their PC problems, and what time I get to
myself, I've been trying to do stuff off of my computer.
For the year I spent working on the AutoPatcher, I had no time to
myself. Rarely any time to relax and play games, go on
vacations, go shopping, etc. I'm trying to take time now to do
the things I didn't. I need to just relax, and to put it
simply... working on the AutoPatcher doesn't exactly relax me.
So, will I ever go back working on the AutoPatcher full time?
Only time will tell, but until then, go check out the forums,
Antonis (Raptor) and the rest of the team have been doing great with
the project since I left.
