Background
As stated in the title, my name is Antonis Kaladis (a typical Greek name). I'm 21 years old, living alone, studying information technology & computer science here in Lamia (a 2h30m drive from my hometown Athens). Though young, I have been using computers since the early 90s. I basically grew up with Applesoft, DOS and Windows 3.1. By the age of 11 I was bored of games (I still enjoy Sensible Soccer and Motorhead) and messing around and got interested in programming and networks. AutoPatcher is one of my hobbies (arguably a time consuming one).
Involvement in AutoPatcher
I have been involved in AutoPatcher pretty much from the very beginning, being the guy who does the programming and management. I don't usually do releases, but I had to create a couple of releases myself before the new team was established, somewhere around early 2005. Looking for people who can help, I chose Lyndon and Renato, and, looking back, it was certainly a key decision to AutoPatcher's future. Admittedly, their talent and dedication is beyond my expectations.
Studying away from home
Life in here in Lamia is a little different from what I was used to in Athens. Living in alone in a much smaller town, it's easier to run into someone you know, go out with friends for coffee or just slack around. Since most of us here live alone, friends are like family, something I can't really say for my hometown.
Fitting AutoPatcher to my everyday life
Since my work on AutoPatcher is mostly implementing team member requests, I can fit it nicely into my schedule. Over the years I have worked on other small projects such as AutoStreamer (utility which makes slipstreaming of hotfixes/serive packs easy), BackupFox (tool which makes a backup of firefox profiles), 0xDoku (a Sudoku game I wrote while on summer vacation), etc. Most of these are not very active right now, but I do keep an eye open for them once in a blue moon.
