Often it happens that APUP is stopping/freezing at fetching of some apm. So then i had to restart it. I think autopatcher.com cant coupe with connections number created by users, and that's only beta. This is really annoying while downloading 170 Mb and had to restart apup every 5 minutes. Sometimes it freezes at calculating sizes and after pressing Next.

and sometimes it shows Disconnected while retrieving files from MS, but that could be MS issue.

Yes, it's annoying, but it's a problem that Antonis is trying to fix it. We hope to have that solved as soon as we can.

As another user suggested, how about one gzip file that contains all of the .apm files? That would greatly reduce the number of connections to the server.

Hi there,

I just downloaded the newest beta of AUtopatcher, good work by the way :D , but it stops during the download.

Is this just lag or an error with the beta.

Signing off,

i've tested apup download on my laptop (wireless connection), and with my pc connected on the lan (1Gb).

PC is a super fast and laptop about 4 years old (quite slow). I've found that apup hangs on my laptop, but never occurred on my pc with the same download script. I've tested it on Beta 2.4 download script, on my laptop it stopped 4 times, but run perfect on pc.

It seems that less bandwidth can create lags, maybe timeout problem. I'm not too sure how apup handles the download (such as retries etc.)

maybe Antonis can share some light on this

It doesn't retry for now, they will fix that later.
