Jamyn,

Thanks for your report and the offer of help. The error you reported has been fixed today.

Although you are the fourth person to offer help, you are actually the first to provide some input. Would you be interested in providing information for other new updates as well?

I would love to help with the 2003 series if you'd like. I can make sure updates are done extremely quickly when new patches are released. I'll see if you allow PMs and send you a quick note. Thanks!

Hi all,

as I'm still getting errors on KB925902 . . .

Quote

Detection error for file D:\AP\W2003\modules\Critical\KB925902_2k3_x86_enu.apm
MD5 Hashes do NOT match. Expecting 1C02847FA22193981D23E43748449DD0, but found 37994cf397d6c7e3d82b146925725ee5!!!

. . . I'd think there's a typo on post #18 above, as the values posted for the Broken and the Updated hashes seem to be the same !!!

Quote

Broken
DetectFile=autopatcher:\modules\Critical\KB925902_2k3_x86_enu.apm
DetectHash=1C02847FA22193981D23E43748449DD0

Updated
DetectFile=autopatcher:\modules\Critical\KB925902_2k3_x86_enu.apm
DetectHash=1C02847FA22193981D23E43748449DD0

So I'd ask that someone updates the 2k3 script as follows (if I got this right, of course!) -

Quote

DetectFile=autopatcher:\modules\Critical\KB925902_2k3_x86_enu.apm
DetectHash=37994cf397d6c7e3d82b146925725ee5
ExpectedHash=37994cf397d6c7e3d82b146925725ee5

thx & cheers

sdrubble

in deed. the 2k3 release is on hold for the time being, because so far i know, there's no one with time enough to take care of this one. this release was so obsolete that it was breaking all other english releases, then we had no choice, except set the release also an comment at the releases.list file (it is done by adding an # at the begin of the line). the file was also renamed at our server, to prevent keep breaking the releases

Perhaps I am missing the obvious – but as the script file is 404 – how do I try to create an updated script?. Offline to this I have been trying to get a list of files/patches and their MD5 hash’s compiled together.

TamilDV,

Sorry for the confusion. When this release was taken offline, all the files were moved from the release area.

I will send have sent you the links by PM.

I wish I could help, since I manage a SBS 2003 server, but since I only have dialup at home (whch is also work) which is where the server is, it's hard to help out. The only time I can access high speed is when I'm at the library. I didn't realize the last time Autopatcher 2k3 was updated in Aug 08, now I've got to figure out which updates are missing.

I am a heavy user of 2003 32 and 64 bit versions. I script our OS deployments from bare metal to finished product. I would like to participate in the creation/testing/troubleshooting of the patched for 2003. How do I get involved?

There is an english version of autopatcher, the problem is getting people to maintain the release scripts. no one wants to do a little leg work for others when the only reward is the self knowledge that you are helping others. It is mostly a thankless job. If you would like to help please.. PM cristiano, or frank(the site admin).

oh... long ago, erik was tracking some updates that works under several OS's. it was kinda easy for him, because he was working with that OS. after some time, he gived up of that tracking, but i'm not sure about the reason. the other team members didn't had 2k3 to test things and also we had an huge overload. but the team is always opened for those that wish keep another version
