Can't remove updates

When I select an item which is already installed (shows in blue), instead of showing as "Selection: x do add, 1 to remove" the uninstall item is added to the add total so it shows "Selection: x+1 do add, 0 to remove" (where x and x+1 are numbers, of course).
Ignoring this and moving forward does not uninstall any of the selected items.

Aha! So that's how you do it! I though it was a toggle option! Cyrus, thank you for the tip!
In fact I think that it would make more sense that selecting an item which is installed (blue) should by default uninstall it. Doesn't this make sense?
