I'd like to find out the correct way to run AutoPatcher.

Should I execute AutoPatcher in the following order:
1. AutoPatcher_WinXP_Aug07_x86_ENU_Core.exe
2. C:\Program Files\AutoPatcher\AutoPatcher.exe /noeula /noreboot /nobackup /noregchecks /skipoldlogs /screenlog /defaults:C:\Program Files\AutoPatcher\My Answer File 2007-11-08.aaf
3. AutoPatcher_WinXP_Aug07_x86_ENU_Update.exe
4. C:\Program Files\AutoPatcher\AutoPatcher.exe /noeula /noreboot /nobackup /noregchecks /skipoldlogs /screenlog /defaults:C:\Program Files\AutoPatcher\My Answer File 2007-11-08.aaf
5. AutoPatcher_WinXP_Sep07_x86_ENU_Update-KAPA.exe
6. C:\Program Files\AutoPatcher\AutoPatcher.exe /noeula /noreboot /nobackup /noregchecks /skipoldlogs /screenlog /defaults:C:\Program Files\AutoPatcher\My Answer File 2007-11-08.aaf
7. Run Windows Update

Or should it be run in the following order:
1. AutoPatcher_WinXP_Aug07_x86_ENU_Core.exe
2. AutoPatcher_WinXP_Aug07_x86_ENU_Update.exe
3. AutoPatcher_WinXP_Sep07_x86_ENU_Update-KAPA.exe
4. C:\Program Files\AutoPatcher\AutoPatcher.exe /noeula /noreboot /nobackup /noregchecks /skipoldlogs /screenlog /defaults:C:\Program Files\AutoPatcher\My Answer File 2007-11-08.aaf
5. Run Windows Update

Are the command line arguments correct? I tried running it and it didn't automatically find the answer file.

Thank you,

Docfxit

Hi I'm not Antonis,
But I'll just supply a quick answer.

The second way seems to be correct (Steps 1 to 5)

Step 4 may require quotes:
"C:\Program Files\AutoPatcher\AutoPatcher.exe" /noeula /noreboot /nobackup /noregchecks /skipoldlogs /screenlog /defaults:"C:\Program Files\AutoPatcher\My Answer File 2007-11-08.aaf"

But I haven't tried such a line, just noticed they were missing

Here you have the list of commands that you can use with AutoPatcher (you may check by running "autopatcher.exe /?")

If you have access to the Admin CP, check the permission masks for this forum

Indeed. Looks like someone forgot to give download privileges when setting up the forum :P

Do you have access to the admin cp? If so, it's an easy fix :)

On the ACP home, click "Manage Forums". Find the forum and select "Permissions" from the drop-down menu on the right. Make sure "Download" is checked for the relevant user groups (In this case, probably everyone unless you want people to have to sign up to download)

I recommend requiring users to register in order to download files just so that you guys have more control over your forums, but it's obviously up to you.

Meh, I see no reason to force users to sign up to download attachments. Posting, yes, downloading attachments, no.
