This can be treated as a TODO item rather than a bug

After downloading apengine_exe.cab, bin/apengibe_bin.cab and translations/apengine_lng.cab are to be unpacked (and delete cab files)

tools directory to be included

It is a bug, because they were unpacked and the cab files deleted afterwards on my machine. Like you however, I do not have the tools directory.

In my machine cab files were neither unpacked nor deleted. Checked again by downloading a fresh copy of apup.zip, unpacked in an empty directory and executed it.

Hi,

i have the same problem, but you can manually unpack them. Root directory, bin and translations sub-directories

files to unpack:

apengine_exe.zip
bin\apengine_bin.zip
translations\apengine_lng.zip

edit: from *.cab to *.zip

The .cab files were replaced with .zip, but i still have the same error: the files aren't decompressed. Antonis already knows that and will fix it as soon as he can.
