Reboot problem

Attempting to initialize common controls.
Accessing filesystem...
AutoPatcher 5.6 loaded the filesystem.

the log shows the above after I've tried to update components. The reboot call fails and the updates don't take even though I reboot manually. I'm wondering what to do. The error message says I should tell you guys of the problem.
