I have upgraded to Windows 7 Beta. In a few months, most of my friends will upgrade to SP2. In that case, keeping the Windows Vista Modules would be a waste of space. And as of now, there is no way to delete the modules except for deleting each hotfix and update manually.

Instead, can there be an option to delete a specefic module from the pack alltogether? I have Office 07 module downloaded, and i don't want to loose it or redownload it. A long term solution would be better

autopatcher was design to have all updates in a single folder. even more, some modules are designed to work for 2k, xp, vista, etc in a single shot, since some of them are the exact same thing for all of them. due that, i wouldn't say that the feature that you are asking for is impossible to do, but basically, it will consume too much time, testing and also may not work also expected

Just go to the modules folder, delete the .apm file and folders for vista; also delete the .rti file in the autopatcher directory.. wouldn't this be enough?

Just another good reason to maintain separate folders for each release - highlight the folder and click delete!.

Even if the issue of script conflicts gets corrected, by having everything in one large folder, what do you do when you want to copy
just XP SP3 out of a group of 3 OSs over to a thumb drive?

Lets assume the script routines gets so sophisticated it can download and separate everything into unique folders, maybe...

Download to these folders:
...\XP SP3 x86
...\Vista x64
...\XP x64

...\x86/x64_All - (installs on x86/x64 platforms - only one update downloaded)
...\x86 only_All - (self explanatory - only one update downloaded)
...\x64 only_All - (self explanatory - only one update downloaded)

I don't know, I could only imagine the myriad of tech support help needed for such a sophisticated setup when wanting to transfer to
mobile media, etc. I know it seems simple to most reading this post but the demographic of the average AutoPatcher/APUP user seems
to be anymore the "less technically inclined", by this I mean "interested".

Complete utter rubbish.

When Vista SP2 comes out, Apup will update the modules to those required for SP2, including removing those modules that are no longer required. Automatically.

That's why Apup is called Apup.

That's what it does.

Migrating to Windows 7 is, of course, a different matter.
