this sort of issue us to be related with firewall issues. agnitum firewall and apup have an well know issue and, in order to work, you need grant an allow rule to apup and also you need disable the content filter for apup. disable the firewall doesn't work for this one and also may not work for other ones too. but in order to help you more, we need know the name of your firewall and how your internet works (dsl, cable, etc)
