Ok so there are many versions of MSXML (XML Parser)

There is XML 3.0SP7
XML 4.0SP2
XML 5.0?? (download location unknown)
XML 6.0SP1

So my question is : Do I have to install only latest one (ver6 e.g. which is required for .NET 3.x) and it incorporates all others, or do I have to install all of them?

The installation target system is fully patched XP SP3

you have to install all of the ones included with autopatcher. just as an example, msxml 4 is used by msn 8.5 and beyond (i'm not sure about 9). if this one is corrupted, you will be unable to login at msn network. also, most of the msml are installed by some windows component or is already installed by windows by himself. if you look into windows install cd, you will find several versions of msxml, so, basically, if you has windows installed, you have msml and also you have an vulnerability to fix

Obrigado, yes I am aware of that some version of MSXML are allready installed with clean Windows install, I just can't diggup which ones.

Microsoft says that it no longer supports versions below 5.0.

Autopatcher comes with MSXML 4.0SP2 including secupdate.
While .NET 3.5 comes with MSXML 6.0SP1.

So basicly if I install these 2, I covered all possible anticipated needs of any program?

Windows XP SP2 comes with XML3. Windows XP SP3 comes with XML6 as well.

XML5 is only used by Microsoft Office, not by Windows.

Some third party programs use XML4.
You only need to install this if you have a third-party program that requires it. For example, some Kodak photo share software

So, on Windows XP SP3, no need to install anything (since it already has XML3 and XML6 included) -- but you DO need to install the Critical Security updates.
