I loaded the latest apup.exe version 1.05 and everything looks OK.
When I run the file, it establishes a temp file in my folder and posts the message "checking for available releases".
After ~ 20 seconds, it returns the message "error fetching release list".
The link for more information about releases works, and I am able to access the web site OK.
I am behind a fire wall, but don't know if that has any bearing on fetching the list.

Ideas?

Hi skidad, and welcome...

First take a look at the APUP FAQ.

APUP will need unobstructed access to the internet so make sure your firewall,
AV program, or security software does not interfere with APUP.

If you continue to have problems, run APUP again, create a log file, and post it here.

From "START" -> "RUN" -> apup.exe /log

Also, this is just some advice and separate from your issue above.

If you plan on creating AutoPatcher releases for more than one OS, you may want to
have separate folders for each OS. It is about 8 megs more per folder but it is well worth
avoiding some of the headaches that you will likely encounter.

Example folder scheme:

G:\AutoPatcher
......................\XP.x86
......................\Vista.x86
......................\Office.2007
......................\Extras
