hi guys, thanks for responding. the first time i ran apup today it downloaded a ton of modules, but upon completion it told me there was an error and i should run the update again. i did so several times but keep getting the same error. here is the log:

Can I run autopatcher without this module, so that all of the other updates are installed? Also, I don't use Windows Media Player, so the last version I installed is 7.0 or something. Could that be part of the problem? Again, thanks in advance.


EDIT: I read the verification FAQ and I'm guessing the above update has been removed from the server, since the error is "file not found." Hopefully it's been incorporated into a later update or superseded by a later update. I'm going to run Autopatcher.exe now.

KB952069 has now an v2 and ms has removed the previews version from their server. right now, the release maintainer for the enu version is sick and recovering. so, may take a while to fix the script, but it will be done in a few days.

absolutely. the only ones "issues" that you will have are: 1 - this module will not install (obvious); 2 - you will see an "unofficial" tag. just don't worry with that

the issue covered by this one is for media format 9 and beyond. but everybody that has the previews version for this one is safe (at least, according to ms)

This issue has now been fixed.

However, if you are still running XP SP2, you will need to update your computer to SP3. Once you have installed SP3, you can then run AutoPatcher to be fully updated.
