for a few days now i have been attempting to update my apup download; program updates for Windows XP SP3, and I have been getting the following error...
apup.script: ctlwinsckdownloader component failure
I thought that it might just be internet/server congestion the first couple attempts, but after a couple dozen times, I tried to change my selection to the Office 2007 updates, and after downloading some of the updates i got the same error above.
I believe that I can manually download the file apup.script from www.autopatcher.com/apup.script but I do not know where I need to put it so that apup will continue downloading other updates.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

If you UNcheck "AutoPatcher Updater 1.0.5" on the APUP window, does this ctlwinsckdownloader error still happen with something else?
In other words, do you always see "ctlwinsckdownloader component failure"?
If you do, have you installed any new Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware or Firewall software since you last posted on 27th November 2008? If you have, please also read the APUP Frequently Asked Questions (APUP FAQ) topic.
