Version of virus signature database: 3826 (20090204)

Scanned disks, folders and files: D:\apup\apup_bin
D:\apup\apup_bin\uz.exe - probably a variant of Win32/TrojanDropper.Agent trojan

I used NOD32.

Do you recognize uz.exe? Thank you

Hi letmein...

I'm sure this is another false-positive. Do you use other software that is giving you the same warning?

See this post about uz.exe

I scan regularly with multiple programs and never get warnings about my AutoPatcher directory. I got
rid of AVG because it seemed to be too eager to label things as a virus, I wouldn't expect that from NOD32.

uz.exe isn't a virus. it is an false-positive presented by some anti-virus programs since several months ago and also reported in our mainpage since months ago. since the first incident about this false-positive, we just removed the uz.exe file and we are how choosing 7zip also an unzip tool. since that tool is now useless, it can be safely removed. i've checked the apup.script and someone forgot to add an removal for that obsolete tool. now, everybody that chooses update apup, will remove that obsolete file, that isn't a virus, is just an false-positive that is being presented to us since a couple of months ago. just to give you a hint about how fake this claim is, still now, almost 5 months later, mcafee rate us also level 7 threat, for a file that isn't hosted at our server since september

thanks for your report and sorry about this false-positive
