your issue is related to autopatcher_xp_x86_sp3_ptg.script. seems that Renato (the release maintainer for Portuguese - Portugal release) is away from some time ago. i will fix this script, like Renato did to Brazilian users in the early days of AutoPatcher. right now, i have the proper time for this, but i've got "conjuntivite" (i don't know the english name for this problem, but my eyes are looking like this one: http://img.olhares.c...g/17/176728.jpg . of course, right now, my eyes are looking far better, since they don't look so red anymore, but bright stuff is still a problem, so i can't stay in front of my pc for long periods of time). i will start working in this one this night (i hope). a few modules by day and everything shall be done in a couple of days (at least, the main script).

right now, i'm sorry, but i can't do nothing about :(

just an head's up: i've downloaded the autopatcher_xp_x86_sp3_ptg.script and did an comparison to my own script. just at the critical modules, the ptg release is missing 20 critical updates and has 6 updates that are already obsolete and one that needs to be updated. i will start this task now, but by the amount of updates that are missing, this will take a while.

and i even looked at the non critical ones or at the components...

the 6 obsolete one are already done, with the removals. i will now take a break to release my eyes and i will resume later.

> got worse because of my problem
this thing has his course. it will end given time, i just can make it easier. but the sunlight is far worst than my lcd, don't worry. at least, my lcd has bright controls :P

by the way: the script will be uploaded as soon the tasks are done, meaning that the script will be online when i finish the critical ones. then, the next update will be with the non critical and going that way. but until the end, it will stay unsigned (but it will be at the end)

I think the "slang" may be "pink eye", and it is extremely painful. I get it about 2 times a year and it feels
like someone put bleach in my eyes.

I don't know what you are using for relief but if they have it in (Santa Maria-RS) you may want to try
Similasan - Pink Eye Relief, unless you have the real bad stuff that requires antibiotics.

> and it feels like someone put bleach in my eyes
seems the same thing so. this crap has 2 versions: one is viral and another one is caused by some bacteria or something. i've got the bacteria version

> unless you have the real bad stuff that requires antibiotics
the viral stuff is more easy. i have to take some medicine. one internal and another one to put in my eyes, 3 to 4 times a day. if you look into my eyes right now, you wouldn't say that i have anything, because my eyes aren't red anymore, but it's like that just because the medicine, so it hurts anyway. also, we don't have all the medicine that is common around the globe. i have an client that can't take milk and she needs take an pill that you can buy in supermarkets is US by something like 18 USD. in here, they put one extra zero at the right and you still need import it (and aren't all the drug stores that do that) :(

Everybody who has had this, knows how uncomfortable it is, so I have a lot of sympathy for Cristiano and all others who have ever had eye problems. But, guys, please, please, it's waaaay, way off-topic for a Bug report!! The proper place to discuss medical conditions is, I suggest, somewhere like the General Discussion forum.

BTW, the proper English name is Conjunctivitis http://en.wikipedia..../Conjunctivitis

Now, does anybody know why the OP is mixing two releases, as shown by his log-file:

some time ago, this issue was very common around here. i don't know why, but some time ago, a lot of 2070 arrived in here. i just suspect about IE, that install in any language, damaging a lot of stuff. but also, a lot of people from Brazil lives in Portugal, since all we have citizenship from booth countries and the language helps a lot (despite ptg sound like a song to us, is far more easy learn that than some other languages. still, some people from here goes to portugal without learn nothing about the language. if they go to other countries, they may have difficulties even to ask for food).

by the way: i did 16 modules to ptg this morning. i believe that i shall finish the critical ones this night or tomorrow in morning.

James, I am brazillian and live in Portugal. My notebook has been bought with Vista Home Premiun installed and, after one year, I am sure I prefer Windows XP instead. I am about to receive the XP pack I bought (which is not easy to find anymore) and the version I could find was PT-PT. The old notebook I use to download from Internet has a XP Pt-BR version installed. D'ont worry, I wont mix the releases.

OK, many thanks for the explanation, it seems you know exactly what you are doing. Now I understand both the mixed locales and the name of the folder you are downloading to.

The only other thing I see in the log-file is that the standalone products are out-of-date as well.
For example:
Firefox 3.0.1.exe -- Firefox is now version 3.0.6
npp.5.0.3.Installer.exe -- Notepad++ is now version 5.2
Thunderbird 2.0.0.16.exe -- Thunderbird is now version 2.0.0.19

Maybe these are only in th Pt-Pt release, because I don't see them mentioned in the ENU (English) releases.

> after the update announced today
the critical ones are already in place. i will start the non critical ones right now. basically, this was the changelog:
# 12/02/2009 - -KB953155; -KB953839; -KB955069; -KB956390_ie7; -KB956390; -KB957095 (Cristiano)
# 13/02/2009 - -KB936782; +KB928366; ~KB890830; +KB931125; +KB931906; +KB936782 (WMP10); +KB936782(WMP11); +KB938127 (v2); +KB938464; +KB949269; +KB950582

# 13/02/2009 - +KB960715; +KB961260

and yes, ptg was missing 23 critical updates. at the non critical, i see that ptg has only 5 i have 31 updates in ptb release, so i'm assuming that i will have to build it from scratch, like i had to to with the critical ones. the ancient sp2 ptg script was taken offline, because i don't have any intent to keep this one. but i didn't added any conversion from sp2 to sp3

also, i've realized that the extras package is downloading about 18mb from our own server, making grow our bill from traffic. when i reach that script, i will take a look about what is that and, if possible, keep those, but downloading from the site of owner of that content. but right now, i've taken that script down

i have no idea about how time will be needed to finish the non critical ones, but i'm expecting finish those sunday.

good news. i've lost track of time when rebuilding ptg script and i did all the non critical ones at once. ok, in there was a lot of updates that was for all languages and it helped a lot, but it's done anyway. at the end of the non critical ones, autopatcher ptg was missing 27 updates and was wasting download time with 2 obsolete updates. the changelog so far:

i believe that i've finished the rebuild process with the main ptg script. i will start to work on check if the download of the updates are ok before sign it. all tweaks was taken from ptb release. if required, i will update those modules to ptg, but since i don't know the proper grammar for ptg, i'm letting that alone for now. as soon the check at the download process finish, i will resume the work with the .net package. i do realize that those are shared between xp/2k3/2000, etc ptg releases, and i will try keep this one in that way, but we have an rule in here that if an release becomes without any update for several months, those abandoned releases may be taken offline. i can't update 2k/2k3 of even the office releases because of 2 main reasons: 1 - i don't have those softwares; 2 - i may not have the proper time to take care of so many releases
