Hi

Newbie to AutoPatcher and this forum.

Using WinXPSP3

I used AutoPatcher to download Windows Updates and got the following error message:-

"Verification Failed

One or more files has failed verification. Please re-run AutoPatch updater. If the problem persists.........Report to Forums"

I have re-run AutoPatcher and each time it runs rootsupd.exe and then I get the error message.

Just run it again and it fails? (01-54 hours UK Time 26/02/2009)

I see a similar post to mine. Is this the same thing.

Anyone help?

Thanks

Terry

This error is caused by Microsoft updating the Root Certificates at the Microsoft Download Center.

However, this update is not yet available from all of Microsoft's servers. As you may know http://download.microsoft.com resolves to multiple IP addresses, some of which have the new file and some of which still reply with the old file. I expect this situation to change today as the caching servers are flushed and updated.

All the releases will be updated later today to match the new file.

When Microsoft decides on a server and the link can stay good the scripts will be updated.

Mike
