Please note: Microsoft do NOT recommend that XML4 is installed: Windows XP and later already contain XML 6 as part of the Operating System.
XML4 is provided by Microsoft ONLY to update legacy applications that are too old to work with XML6.

There is currently a problem with the Vista script which is unable to update because we have 2 missing files on the server.
The Vista developers have been notified.

msxml4 (XML Core Services, Version 4.0) is:
- obsolete (it was made obsolete six years ago);
- available for 32-bit only;
- NOT recommended by Microsoft to be installed;
- available only to support legacy (out-of-date) third-party software.
Microsoft said:
Both Windows XP SP3 and Vista SP1 include XML6.0 IN-THE-BOX.
Summary:
- Don't install XML4.0, unless you have some really, really out-of-date software that needs it;
- Don't try installing XML6.0 because it is already part of Windows XP and Vista;
- Do install the Security Update for XML6.0.

of course. but i've found an possible issue: i didn't found this one in x64 version. i do know that x32 us to work in x64 too, but i also know that this isn't recommended and there's not an x64 version for msxml 4 sp3. until i be sure that this one will not damage x64 systems, i will hold it

A search of the forums will reveal James post, this is what I did.
Search terms -> msxml, msxml4, or xml4 (must be at least 4 characters - xml will error out).
Using "More Search Options" and then "More Options" will give you the option of having the
search terms highlighted - nice feature to use.
Search Keywords: -> (Search by Keywords); - xml4.
Search Options: -> (Search Where); - Releases, (Refine Search); - [Result Type] - Show results as posts.
-->> Hit "Perform the search"
Using these guidelines brought up both of these posts, right near the top of the results list.
Vista Forum Post - March 16th, and spells it out pretty clearly.
General Support Forum Post - March 16th - more of the same.
So, give it a try using the advanced features, the results will be more direct but dependent on the search terms used.

My first words were -> This is meant as a tip. Not a correction or rebuke.
I'm sorry I misunderstood your post, I missed the key detail left out - back in January.
