I am getting some Error PopUps... Not worrisome, just maybe it is something that I can tweak to avoid them. Using 5.6.81 on XP SP3. Here are some:
Subscript Out of Range.... in prjUpdater.mdlDownloader.processDownloadQue at line 100.
One or More Files have failed Verification...Please rerun APU.. If this problem persists..... (Two instances of this one) and persists with each rerun.)
Runtime error '339'... Component comdlg32.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered. A file is missing or invalid.
I have NOT yet rebooted to see if there is something I should do Before rebooting...
Thanks
COMDLG32.ocx not registered

comdlg32.ocx
do you have the apup\bin folder? in there, you can find an copy of that file. please, copy it to windows\system32 folder. if the issue remains, you also can download the ms vb6 runtime from here, install it then reboot
about the "One or More Files have failed Verification", it may also be because yesterday ms had replaced 2 updates. due that, they also removed the old ones, breaking the script by those 2 files. it will be fixed soon and if you are able to run apup your autopatcher will be ok, except for those 2 files. if you keep having errors, please it the file "hit_this_to_generate_a_log_file_for_apup.cmd" and open an topic with the content of apup.log file that we may help you further

Hi Cristiano, Thanks for the reply. Yes, I do have the apup\bin folder that has COMDLG32.ocx 152,848 dated 7/10/2007 and on C:\WINDOWS\System32 there is a Comdlg32.ocx 152,848 dated 3/9/2004... they seem the same.
VB Runtime 6 ask WHERE to install it... is anywhere on the Primary Drive okey? MS doesn't say....
I understand what you are saying about MS replacing files and breaking the script. Will try again and post the log if no luck. Hopefully the reboot doesn't crash me.... Thanks.

the date is related to the last download date. so, if yesterday you had downloaded that file, the date will be yesterday. but the version matters a lot. if you are running an older version, something that is required may not be in there. replace it, if you can
> VB Runtime 6 ask WHERE to install it
it ask to extract the file first. so, at the first run, just choose any patch that you can reach. then, look in to that folder where you had extracted vbrun60sp6.exe and run it.
greetings
