Hi gloveskicks...

What Cristiano is saying is to re-run "apup.exe" in the same folder (make the same selections) you are getting errors and APUP will automatically grab the latest (fixed) script from the server (when it's posted) and begin to correct the problems within your Vista x64 release, that's how APUP works.

So, in the next day or so I would try again but this time (if you haven't yet) run "apup.exe /log" to create a log file and if for some reason something was overlooked you will have the info in your log, you can post it here, and the script will be edited further in due time.

Mike :)

the release that give you errors shall suffice. i had that fully package, but in order to catch the broken links, i'm downloading the entire script. it shall be done in 1h or so, then i will be able to locate the broken links and remove

but the new updates, just for tomorrow

i believe that i've fixed the broken links. also an bonus for today, the script is now downloading the new versions for those:
Windows6.0-KB905866-v28-x64.msu
windows-kb890830-x64-v2.8.exe

also, msxml 4 was removed. this one is not recommended for vista

still there's some updates to go, but the night has become more cold an my flu is giving me troubles because of that (and i've also have rhinitis, that just becomes worst when you got this).

tomorrow, in a warm day, i will finish the remaining updates. but my girlfriend has prio in weekends (and she just remind me that some hours ago), so i may finish the updates sunday

so far i know, xbox medias has some sort of anti-piracy software and "backup of xbox media" is just another way to say "do pirated versions of xbox media easily" and piracy isn't allowed in here. but just also an guess, i could bet on ms anti-piracy software and hardware issues. in the foruns for that software you may found more help for that than in here, due piracy issues
