I have in a separate location the latest 7-Zip Standalone Console (v4.65), it wouldn't hurt anything to overwrite 4.57 in my
AutoPatcher folders would it?

I'm sure there is no big difference but if I could I would like to have the latest.

Mike

Nevermind, I forgot to look at the script, and I can see it does check the md5 of 7za.exe - of course it does!

I'll go hide my face in shame and embarrassment now!

We will, at some point in time update the version of 7-zip used in AutoPatcher.

However, this is not urgent as we do not use any of the new features available.

Is it possible to get 7Zip added in as an add-on again?

This pretty much explains it - for our use the new features aren't needed. If you like 7-Zip you might want to install
the Windows GUI version, this is what I did - 7-Zip Downloads.

If you should put the updated 7za.exe (command line version) in "c:\apup\apup_bin" it will get deleted because the
hashes wont match - just a heads up.

Followup:

I went ahead and updated 7za.exe to v4.65 - Please run "apup.exe /log" to update the release (in this case the utility).
