Downloads of the AutoPatcher for Windows XP/2003 x64 release have been temporarily suspended.

This release has not been properly updated since August 2008 and it now clashes with all other AutoPatcher releases.

However, a major new update, bringing the Windows XP/2003 x64 release fully up to date, is currently being BETA tested.

If you would like to help with testing (which includes not just telling us that there are errors but also helping us to find them and fix them) then please post below.

I am using Windows XP 64, know visual basic and use software to comapre files/folders for any changes.

I have posted some suggestions on release scripts, MD5 checks and possible solutions.

I may not be able to give my full time as a FULL MAINTAINER, but I can lend my suport in any way that I can.

Let me know

I would also like to lend my help. I run two 64-bit machines myself, and I regularly replace Vista with XP 64-bit (for clients), so having a working copy of Autopatcher for that platform is of great interest to me.

Just to make it known, though, I work full-time and go to College double-full-time (7 courses), so I will do my best to help but my aid may get spotty around any midterms and finals that I have.

I'm a semi-retired computer tech who runs multiple xp64 machines. Don't know any scripting but have used autopatcher for years and really count on it! I'm sure I could give detailed reports on anything that is going wrong, send log files ect. I'm able to set up multiple virtual machines to test clean installs ect. If I can be any help please do let me know.

@René Kabis,
@johnspack,

Thank you both for your offers of help.

We are just updating the Beta version of the new release at the moment. As soon as things are stable again (probably by tomorrow) I will send you both a link to the Beta release and a list of tests that are still needed by PM.

Well, actually I do do windows heheh! NT 3.1 was a hoot... But really, I'd like to see xp64 going again, as xp32 is dead, when, june? Server 2003 will be supported for years still. We need to make this happen! I'm also using win7 7057, and it will be the replacement for me. But until then, I'll do whatever for the xp64 cause. It's faster, more stable, runs games ect faster than both xp32 and vista64. So I'll wait for my work to test!

Can we open up access to that forum and/or can I get access? I'm eagerly awaiting the x64 re-release.

This is a private forum for Staff, Beta Team Members etc. Access would require a promotion to Beta Team Member based on need. It
looks like they may have all the beta testers they need for now based on James' March 30 comment - but who knows, things can change.

BTW, you don't have a side job in Washington do you - JK! B)

I can see that you are nearing the completion of the test. if you still need any other testers im available. ive been using autopatcher for almost 2 years now and have always been pleased with it. Currently i'm using another update downloader to get x64 hotfixes and cant wait till i can use autopatcher again.
