KB958655 v2 detection error
autopatcher does not show it is installed after i installed it
i think this is the problem

FileVersion=>4.5.6001.22299 ">" should be removed
and i add MD5 code and now it work

Thanks for the report, which confirms another report of the same problem with -v2 of this update.

This is due to a bug in autopatcher.exe which is not returning the file version information correctly.

Unfortunately, the first part of your suggested fix (removing the ">") doesn't work either.

Adding an MD5 code does work, but will again make the update show as uninstalled when the next update is issued by Microsoft.

A fix, using alternative detection that works with both KB958655-v1 and KB958655-v2 will be issued soon.

Hi guys . i've got the same problem.

After i had installed the KB958655 -v2 for several times. Autopatcher showed that it's not installed. !!!!!!!

Actually i've read the whole topic . but i didn't get anything.

Could you please tell me how to solve this small problem

You can't permanently solve the problem yourself, because it requires the APM file to be changed. A fix will be included in the next update to the XP release.
