I would say no, at least not anymore? It would start with Avast then another will want AVG, you get the picture.

It is so much easier to download their latest installer (from Avast) and then update from within the program.

I might be wrong - just MO!

Mike

it could be interesting. in fact, not long ago, we had stand-alones to avg and several other things too. but this ones are updated too often. and now (finally) avg has localized versions, making the creation of this kind of modules an problem, or at least, the problem of just one. and worst, those are updated too often, basically making this task almost daily basis. right now, just keep the scripts that we already have has been a problem and a shared task. we now have some beta team members, that are on training to become release maintainers, but still, we are still just a few. for the updates of the defs, i could say that this is worst than the anti-virus himself. avg free 8.5 now has updates every 4 hours or so. by that, you can imagine how painful could be such thing...

i would say no too

Cristiano and gUiTaR_mIkE have already given the reasons, but I would say no, too.

So the answer to the original question is:
No, nothing has been written and nothing is likely to be written in the future either.
