Using Novemer 25 apup.
Checked only Autopatcher for Windows XP (x86)-beta v3.0
I already had critical and non critical updates downloaded

It downloaded components (22 files 24 folders, 334,468,840 bytes, then stopped with runtime error 0.

Tried again with previously downloaded contents of modules folder deleted
It again stopped with runtime error 0, after downloading

non critical: 44 files, 44 folders (41,674,776 bytes) No .apm files that wre previouly downloaded
crtical: 82 files 82 folders (123,817,416 bytes) No .apm files that were previously downloaded
components: 22 files 24 folders (334,508,032 bytes)

Did you have any other lists checked to download? also, do you know what update it's on when it gets the run-time error?

No other list checked. I could not tell which update it was on (it did not show anything), but it might be windows_components.apm, as that seems ro be missing (I assume that is the .apm file for components, corresponding to windows_critical.apm and windows_noncritical.apm. Also missing (but maybe no longer needed are the .apm files for each individual update, that did get downloaded with earlier versions).

However, tried again now, and having clicked OK on the message that one of the files is unverified (or whatever, continue at your own risk), it downloaded windows_components.apm. Autopatcher now offers all the XP critical, noncritical and components as well as Office 2002 that I'd previously downloaded.

just downloaded the nov25 ap version and just copied over my previous modules folder and ran just the "WinXP x86" script and got the runtime error also

i noticed also that calculating on the main window doesn't update anymore with how much i have left to download

well it seems after deleting the old modules folder and redownloaded everything i dont get the runtime error anymore

I'm experiencing the same problem with runtime error(0), only when you upgrade from a previous beta version, for example in my case from version beta 3.0 to 3.3. But none with a clean install

It helps for people with lots of bandwidth, but its a known problem (many post about it) and the developers is working on it. I think we are nearly there, from becoming stable. The apup is looking very good, and i'm already using autopatcher to patch my support pc.

Hi everyone, just gave the new one a run... I am downloading everything from square one.... The first go it hung on Onenote2003sp3-kb923633, then I retried it and got runtime0 after the apengine.script progress bar was at the end. I went back unchecked all the office updates and the autopatcher engine, I would just download the win xp updates it stopped at windowsxp_kb922120-v5-x86. I hope this helps...

Dont know if the following is helpfull nor relevant; but in case it could help track down the bug:

I've also been troubled with it suddenly hanging, after it has finished downloading a file, but does not proceed to the next. The point at which this happens varies form time to time without any apparent pattern.

Getting tired of waiting I patched this machine into my "network install" port on my router, which amongst other things has a transparent Squid cache, and PXE/TFTP server etc..

With the transparent cache in place, I expeced to be able to get all files downloaded fairly quickly as files would be cached (yes, it caches files between 128kB and 128MB). The download started as normal, and hit a record breaking 70MB downloaded before it stopped.

When I cleared out my directory and started the download again it now hangs imediately, and in the same place every time.

Are you using the latest version of apup (released on the 27th)? Also make sure you overwrite existing files when you extract it because I know at least one of the files that comes with apup has been changed recently.
