Hi spirit1189...

Since you don't offer any info as to what operating system you are running I will throw these 2 your way that work fine on Windows 2000
and XP.

WinUpdatesList (my first choice) => WinUpdatesList
and
QFECheck (which is a nice MS utility) => QFECheck 2K, XP

And some help on how to view updates in Vista,
View Hotfixes On Windows Vista

Maybe someone else has another idea.

Mike

Wow! How dumb of me to miss you may have been asking if AutoPatcher has detection capabilities, of course as James has pointed out. I
assumed you were asking about third party utilities.

In AutoPatcher the updates change colour when they are installed:
  • Update not yet installed = black
  • Update already installed = blue

Outside AutoPatcher, my first preference is also for Nir Sofer's WinUpdatesList (wul.exe) - see the above post by gUiTaR_mIkE for a link to the description and download page. Nir Sofer writes some excellent system utilities..
