> Sign what release?
i will verify later if the issue is related to lack of signature of the office addon pack. this one was updated a few days ago and i'm not sure if this one was signed after that. if i'm not mistaken, OPUC4.CAB was updated a few days ago. but of course, it will have to be checked first

I just ran APUP and checked Everything in the release - no files needed updating - and the release is still Official.

Bottom Line: High5 had an Official release (based on the md5, I recreated it) and the release should still be Official, and APUP
didn't download anything new for Office Addon - as of minutes ago.
I'm not sure what I'm overlooking?

Your md5 includes java jre 6u13 but your screenshot #36/code #34 is missing this.
Yes, there are 791 files listed in my .md5, but JRE isn't among them.
Can you tell me what line in .md5 file should JRE be listed at?
Me thinks you've mixed something up here, because I'm not downloading standalone JRE neither through AP nor any other way. Only as part of JDK.

mike, you are right. probably this one be the case of an orphan file, because i've also checked the download of the rti file (that, if wrong, could prevent an new download) and that is right. so, just one possibility remains: an orphan file in some place. an double check like the one that i've talked about yesterday could help, since that check is done in a few minutes

Java is in my Addons (and I copied it over to the test folder) so I assumed you needed it, my mistake. I removed all remnants
of Java 6u13 from the test folder and it still checks out - 791 files All Official - the release is still Official.
How can I be looking at the screen and reading something that isn't there - This freaks me out a bit?
Anyway, everything else still applies (?
I'm sorry High5 for the mistake!
Mike
Also, if you have tried to update the release to see if all the files are present, create a NEW md5 of your release and I will match
it to the release I have and this way we can identify the discrepancy. But update the release first by running APUP, and then create a
new md5 ( on the folder that is showing as Unofficial). Like Cristiano has said, there may be a stray file. If APUP shows an error message
please report it.

Yes, savepdf_enu.apm is missing (as it can be seen from .md5's). That's got to be it.
Thank you for your time.
As soon as release is update, I'll report back with feedback.

I can upload a zip file with the apm in it to MediaFire if you want me to High5 - and no one objects?
I have it ready to go with an md5 check file (for the apm) in the zip as well - just remember to scan the zip before you open it.
I'll wait for a response one way or another.

Here it is from the Beta Forum, sorry Cristiano I couldn't figure it out in here.
Hopefully this works?
The script should now include the missing apm - please run APUP again to update the Office AddOn release.

Nope, no permission to access the Beta Forum.
added it to the script, I'll remove the link from the post.
High5, just re-run APUP and it will update the Office AddOns release. Let us know if this fixes the Unofficial issue?

High5, if you could edit your post (#53) and edit out the quote altogether - to remove the dead link.
Also, have a look at the guidelines regarding "Quotes" - we discourage quoting full posts in most cases.
Log Files & "Quotes" - Guidelines
Just some FYI. BTW, thank you High5 for your FYI on how forums work - I guess I'm a noob
.
I wonder what James is going to say when he sees this mess
. I wanted to start a new topic and move a few of my posts
but I don't have those permissions here.

I think it would be nice to have md5 files added now and again when scripts get updated so you had something to run that is a little easier to troubleshoot a release with ...
Have you ever inspected the autopatcher.log to find out why a release is shown as unofficial?
If there are extra files present, then autopatcher.log will list them.

I removed 1 apm file and added a folder with 1 file in it, and of course XP.SP3 showed Unofficial.
-> autopatcher.exe /log gave me the following information only, no mention of an Extra or Missing file.
gave me all the above info and did detect a missing file, the one I moved,
UNOFFICIAL: File \WMP11_xp_x86_enu.apm' (mentioned by RTI 'I:\#AutoPatcher_Temp#\xp_sp3_enu.rti') does not exist!
but wouldn't help me identify the Extra file I added - many files had the following remark,
UNOFFICIAL: File \WindowsXP-KB907265-x86-ENU.exe' was found, but not mentioned by any RTI!
What am I missing here? I would think the log would be more helpful.
