Hi all,

I am a newbie on Autopatcher. i am using it on Vista x86 SP1

When the Autopatcher download patches from microsoft, the process stopped at one of the patch (i suspect website time out)

i wait for a long time, still no progress (screenshot attached), i press "Exit" to stop the process.

When i lanuch the Autopatcher again, the process start from the beginning, the process stopped at the same patch

i want to ask:
1. is there any resume/timeout/auto-retry function for auto-patcher?
2. how can i provide a patch file for autopatcher? (i.e. i download the patch manually to put it in some folder, etc.)

Click here for the ScreenShot

Hi unknown...

It does sound like a website issue or your internet connection.

1. No. APUP will only resume from the beginning of the file it was having trouble with, and You will have to re-run APUP again to do this.

2. Re-run APUP and resume downloading the Vista release. Before you hit Finish (or exit APUP), look for the Vista script in the temp_bin folder,
in the "APUP" directory, "copy" the script somewhere so you can open it with notepad.

Look for your file in the script, pay attention to the "DownloadFrom=" and "DownloadTo=" lines. It is a good idea to verify the checksum given.

Here's an example:
Item=Windows6.0-KB950050-x86.msu

DetectFile=autopatcher:\modules\Components\KB950050_2k8_x86.apm_files\Windows6.0-KB950050-x86.msu

Resume would be a great addition to APUP "If" the dev. team sees fit or has time to implement this feature.

Thanks for the input - noted.
