Please understand (Antonis & all moderators) that I have no expectations that my suggestions should be followed or that AutoPatcher is anything but an extremely generous contribution to the larger web community; we don't have any right to make demands. I'm making no demands, just a couple suggestions here!
In the old Neowin forum, there was a progress bar indicating how things were going between the release of the updates from Microsoft and the next release of AutoPatcher. Understanding that AutoPatcher is still under development, I would like to suggest this for these forums as well - it would be a nice bit of information to have, even if it was just a dummy bar based on guess-timates.
With regards to the AutoPatcher web site, I wonder if the "Downloads" page might be re-enabled with a link to the updates to the beta of AutoPatcher downloads. That might also save on needing to have announcements each time the latest beta is released. A disclaimer would be necessary, but you knew that.....
Thank you for all that you do with AutoPatcher. I recently downloaded the newest update and its working wonderfully. I'm glad you found a way to make it work within Microsoft's limitations!
Respectfully,
Jacob M.
A couple suggestions (if I may...)

My guess (and I'm not affiliated with the development) is that apup will have a full release or at least a full beta release by the end of the year. The next major set of scripts to be made are for Vista, and that will likely take some doing. Personally I plan to create an XP German release as soon as I can get some free time (most likely near Christmas time).

I'm not so much looking for the next release date during this beta period - I know that releases come out on a whole different timetable when something is in development. I'd just like to see these changes come about when they can (just like AutoPatcher!).
Respectfully,
Jacob
(It is exciting to think that AutoPatcher might be ready by the end of the year! I know there is no official timetable, but I am looking forward to the next derivation of AutoPatcher being completed!)
