guys: i'm running several install tests and, when i've checked, i was lacking KB950478. this one should fit for any language, but it doesn't seem so, because this one returns an error in booth of my machines where this one isn't installed. it also returns an install error at my other vms. it can be an issue related with an previews installed update, i don't really know. so please, any of yours, that is running wmp 11, any language, can please check if this one installs/detect properly with autopatcher? if not, can yours please try this link:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950478
and get the Windows XP, 32-bit version of this kb and try install it, just to be sure if this isn't an issue related to an ms mirror? that file has only 836 KB
thanks in advance

Cristiano,
Read your message. Ran AutoPatcher. The KB shows as blue at: Microsoft Windows - Recomended updates for my system.
So a re-download won't work and/or prove anything here.
windowsmedia11-kb950478-x86-intl.exe is the file name I've installed - international. Dates for the file are August of 2008.
Hope that helps somewhat.

59.438: Update.exe extended error code = 0xf0f4
59.438: Update.exe return code was masked to 0x643 for MSI custom action compliance.
so, my guess is that this one requires to be installed before something, because at my girlfriend pc has the version 11.0.5721.5251 for this one.
the first idea may be easy to do, this module just requires an prereq that is missing. with that, this update will not show when it can't be applied. the 2nd idea is a little bit more complicated: find the exact point where this one should be aplied and then set this one to be installed in that point (and that doesn't happen today, creating the situation that i've found). but also there's an 3rd idea: this update was replaced... when i was writing this i've googled the expression "KB950478 +replaced" and i've realized that this one was replaced by KB952069 (in fact, KB952069 superseeds KB950478). so, this may not be nobody fault at all, this one just was superseed and we don't have notice it, just that. at those hours, i miss an guy with the nick "the_guy" a lot... this one was, in deed, the guy for superseeded modules and this kind of thing
so, i believe that this one can be safelly removed, saving time and download size. i will do some extra research for it tomorow. right now, i can't. today i'm just taking care of an young girl

Cristiano,
You're answer set off a light bulb in my head. If you go here: http://www.boooggy.org/slipstreamer/ you'll find all the updates listed for WMP11 as listed by the person responsible for the WMP11 slipstreamer as used by those of us using the RyanVM Integrator. Note that the KB of your interest is not there.

DesertJerry, i've checked that link of yours and did an list with the updates that i have. i don't have KB954067 and, in that list, i was unable to find KB935957 and KB936782, that are included into autopatcher, but those aren't in that list. so, probably there's one to remove and another one to add. and, of course, 2 more to check. oh boy...

Cristiano,
More info that could help.
As I mentioned above, the web site and list I mentioned is for WMP11 slipstreamer; which you've already checked.
Besides the WMP11 Slipstreamer there is also an Office Integrator that will work with Office XP, 2003, and 2007. The Office Integrator merges/slipstreams hotfixes, etc with the original CD to create a new ISO which can then be used to burn a new, updated Office CD. (Similar to the RyanVM Integrator - it was created by many of the same folks.)
Anyway, the Office Integrator includes a help file (actually a .CHM) which is on this page: http://siginetsoftwa...hread.php?t=405 and can be downloaded and used as a source for updates/hotifixes/etc for the versions of Office mentioned above.
You could download this .CHM file and match it against the AutoPatcher scripts to compare updates and, hopefully keep things up-to-date.
The .CHM file at that site is updated as Microsoft posts Office updates so you should periodically check it for newer versions.
Hope this helps somewhat.
