Repeatedly have to log in

The system is not remembering me - I have to log in each time I come here to check things out. Started at least a couple of weeks ago; don't know why.
Don't have a problem at other forums.

I have had a similar problem that only affects AutoPatcher forums and that is when I get disconnected (I'm on dialup) and if
I'm posting or try to move forward to an unvisited page I have to log in again.
I know it has something to do with my dialup properties changing due to the disconnect but again, every site I have an account
with, msfn.org as an example, remembers me despite the disconnects but not AutoPatcher - don't know why. I just registered at
mfsn.org maybe 3 weeks ago and have had to log in 2 times, here, in the same 3 weeks I bet 15 or more times.
I would be interested to see how many times I have had to log in over the past 30 days (and how many times the same day).
Mike

this issue is due an behavior set at forum control. every single time that ip changes, the cookie that stores the info about the login expires. in some places, it's a problem. at my job, every single time that i close the browser, i have to login again. it can be changed, but it can decrease the security of the forum a little bit. anyway, this can be tried for some time. i will see what i can do about it later

gUiTaR_mIkE, the issue seems related to this:
Match user's IP Address during session validation
If 'yes', the IP address of the user must match the one stored in the sessions table for security. Only use 'no' in an intranet environment where many users share the same IP address.
so, every single time that the ip changes, the login info is lost too. in my case, there's 2 connections at my job, that are chosen by our proxy according to load. so, every single time that an browser is opened, the login info is lost. also, if more than one forum member share the same ip (like radio users, lan users, etc) they will be unable to login at the same time. so, even to me, this can be an issue, if someone else from my job chooses join to this forum.
i've also changed this:
Disable 'Report this post to a moderator' link?
Removes the ability for your members to report a post.
this could be nice, in spam attacks, etc.
booth settings was updated. please let me know if this issue is now fixed
edit: the first change didn't helped a bit for the login issue. i've changed another field to see what happens
edit2: this last change seems have fixed the issue, at least to me. please let me know if this have fixed the issue to yours too

It worked this time when I got to the forum - the system remembered who I was.
I'll let you know if the problem occurs later today, tomorrow, etc.
