the following guide was written by dkdk_it (Domenico), and posted at the italian forum for autopatcher, in this topic. also it may have some use for some users that are behind an proxy, i'm doing an translation for his guide. if yours really wanna do this, do by your own will and risk.

Quote

1. Download desproxy which is used for tunneling through the proxy tcp
2nd Add / Update the following lines to your hosts file (<Windows> / system32/drivers/etc/hosts):
127.0.0.1 localhost www.autopatcher.com download.microsoft.com download.windowsupdate.com www.download.windowsupdate.com www.update.microsoft.com
127.0.0.1 silverlight.dlservice.microsoft.com ardownload.adobe.com www.abstractpath.com
127.0.0.1 www.mlin.net fpdownload.macromedia.com download.macromedia.com activex.microsoft.com gpdl.google.com iespell.huhbw.com office.microsoft.com

Copy and paste, consists of three lines not five (each new line starts with 127.0.0.1)

These lines redirect AutoPatcher requests through the proxy (if not you need you can remove them at the end)

3rd Desproxy start from the command line as described below, substituting the appropriate variables

desproxy 208.43.166.248 80 <your_proxy_address> <your_proxy_port> 80

208.43.166.248 is the ip of autopatcher.com

In this way all requests to the domains listed above will be redirected through the proxy.

4th Start APUP, should now be able to download everything easily.

Let us know if it works or not.
