Do we get a March update for Vista as APUP2 still lists this release as 22 Feb 2012 ?
I would say that dkdk_it has forgotten to upload the updated script after uploading all the other releases.
Not poking the stick at anyone just commenting.

Update for Micosoft Vista (KB2653956) (listed on my machine as optional)
optional security update?
According to http://technet.micro...lletin/MS12-024 its very critical... MS OS XP and up are vulnerable.

Anyways im working on adding the changes. Although as usual I can not sign them. Will need to wait for domenico.
Quote

ViroMan's Photo ViroMan 15 Apr 2012

Updated the scripts. Of course I can't sign them because im not interested in downloading 272mb since I have a connection comparable to a 56k modem. I can't make proper detections because I don't have vista so they will always be black. Both of those will change once domenico comes around and can sign and make proper detections. Until then you can at least get the downloads and install them.

Also it needs testing since im not going to download that much data.

Edit: oops found something... fixing.

edit2: There we go. I think that does it.

Ran APUP2 and AP to check latest script and report that KB2675157, KB2679255 and KB2653956 stil display black and with ticks in the checkboxes even after several runs. I have these already installed from WU so was interested in the detections.
A heads up for now

ViroMan's Photo ViroMan 16 Apr 2012

well as I said they will be detected as uninstalled until domenico can come in and make the detections. I don't have vista so I can't make the detections work.

You can help fix that though...
Since you have vista. Check c:\windows\system32\CatRoot\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE} do a search for those KB numbers and tell me the file names.

did a search for the KB's in the location mention and this is what I found.
There were folders with this but opening the folder gave me info which made no sense to me

No they should do fine. I will work them in shorty. Too bad you only have IE 9. If you had the other two we could work the detections for them too.

Edit: Try that now.

I wonder if the 9 in the 9.1.1.0 is the IE version.

One is from a Vista 32-bit and the other is the logical consequence for 64-bit (I hope). Posted Image
