To help with the SP2 script...

In script autopatcher_vista_x64_SP2_beta.script

Lines 24 & 25

PreAction=del "autopatcher:\modules\Critical\KB960225_vista_x64.apm_files\Windows6.0-KB958690-x64.msu"
PreAction=del "autopatcher:\modules\Critical\KB960225_vista_x64.apm_files\Windows6.0-KB956572-x64.msu"

APUp removes the duplicate files.

However...

APUp then re-downloads them. In script autopatcher_vista_x64.script...

Also, Something odd - in the section at line 1146...

It looks for Windows6.0-KB958690-x64.msu then downloads Windows6.0-KB960225-x64.msu, then renames the downloaded file toWindows6.0-KB958690-x64.msu

Folder KB960225_vista_x64.apm_files contains three files:

Windows6.0-KB956572-x64.msu
Windows6.0-KB958690-x64.msu
Windows6.0-KB960225-x64.msu

When the above is fixed there should only be one:

Windows6.0-KB960225-x64.msu

Yes, indeed the errors were all over the place and very strange.

FIXED 4:00 PM PST

Please re run apup.exe /log to make sure the edits are correct - report any errors.

Note: I believe to properly test these scripts you should be downloading "_vista_x64.script" and "_vista_x64_SP2_beta.script"
to separate folders. It looks to me the beta script is cleaning up some of the errors you are finding in "_vista_x64.script",
hence -> PreAction=del but if "_vista_x64.script" is run it will as you say redownload.

true. the idea is download and keep in apup folder only the updates that are required by vista sp2. so, the removal of the previews updates is required

sorry for my late, but my isp was down since 2pm gmt -3, but probably before that and i just notice that because i was doing an online scan to double-check one of my machines

edit: issue with my isp tracked. to those that know portuguese, more infos can be read at Zero Hora newspaper website. quick translation: an fire started at 11am. 500000 people was out of internet today due that issue. the sad news: basically, i have only the weekend to track issues with the scripts. due that, i was unable and now is too late to finish the test
