I shouldn't have a checkmark next to Vista SP1 when i select Vista SP2. Am I right?
thank you for answering my question.

If you want Vista SP2 check only the SP2 release and uncheck the SP1 box.
If you download the Vista SP2 release into the same modules folder you have Vista SP1 - the script will delete many updates
found in SP2. Don't do this unless you no longer have a need for Vista SP1.
Read the Vista x86/x64 Hotfix Depot Thread for more info.

i believe that i've found the issue. the reference for vista sp2 was the same than for sp1, making apup check booth releases. i've added an _sp2 to vista x32 sp2 release. but there's one problem: we can't check if this setting is working or not. due that, please, run apup again, if possible, in a machine running vista sp1 and in another one running sp2. the test is very easy to do: just look if apup is auto-selecting the proper release
thanks

that means that apup is being blocked by some sort of firewall. we can help you with that, but we need to know the firewall name, version, if you are behind an proxy or router, this sort of thing. i've tried the same thing in here and apup is downloading vista x32 sp2 script fine
> permission denied in prjUpdater.frmMain.form_unload at line 106
that is apup trying to remove the temp_bin folder. if, in any case, that folder is still in use, at the end of apup, you get that error

I don't know what happened BUT I downloaded apup.zip. After unzipping it, i run the update with vista SP2 and I still receive the following error message.

If this problem persists, please report to the forums at autopatcher.com <---- I got this message when fetching "windows_components_vista_x86_sp2.7z: 404 - File
By the way, i don't use any firewall and I DID NOT have any problem when I USED IT 2 days ago.
Thank you for answering my question.

___windows_components_vista_x86_sp2.7z is in deed missing in our server. the releaser maintainer for this one will be free to fix it only at monday.
> By the way, i don't use any firewall
windows has an built in firewall. is weak, but it's one. also, some routers acts like firewalls
still, none of your posts was conclusive about any issue for sure, except for ___windows_components_vista_x86_sp2.7z. at your first post, without the log (the one that is generated by "hit this to generate a log for apup" file), we only can read that apup is being blocked. but to see that there's an file missing, we require do download test for the entire script and it us to be slow. with the script, we can find the issue and fix it at once. so, if you can, please post the entire log in here. it will allow us track if there's any other issue in the script and fix it. by monday, but it will be fixed
thanks for your understanding
