Something like "One or more files could not be verified..." came also the second time I tried.
Please check and correct.

with version of vista, please? can you hit the file "hit here to generate an log for apup" and paste the log in here?

yours are right. this is the cause of this issue:
Download Error: D:\temp\temp_bin\___windows_components_vista_x86_sp2.7z
File size does NOT match. Expecting 2601, but found 4727!!!

the releaser maintainer for this one will be informed of that

Yes, please provide a log file so we can see what files you are having troubles with - apup.exe /log

Read the "pinned" Log Files Post, and post each (separate) log file in the appropriate forum - for "Vista x64" issues / log file in here,
and the "Extras" issues / log file in the "Extras" forum.

Also, Cristiano said the release maintainer will be informed so the issue will be fixed (for Vista), don't know
what the problems are with the "Extras" release, we need to see your log file.

Update: I reran APUP to update "Extras" - no errors but the release is "unsigned"

i will check that issue with the extras package. in here, it shows also official. the .rti file that is in the folder that i sent to our server math, so, it probably be an rogue file. but right now, i need fix an netbook (yes, that nice thing that doesn't have an cdrom, etc etc etc)

but i've found an rogue file from an test that i did, at modules\AddOns\teste.apm. also the script was signed with that rogue file inside, it was running also unofficial, because that file just exists in my system. this issue is now fixed

Is it possible to detect which version of Vista that's being used? Like Ultimate, Business, Home. Because I have the Business ver, so there is no MCE, but the sp2 script wants to install the 2 updates for MCE when there is no MCE installed.

I know the source code for apup or autopatcher can't be released, but could the code for the editor program be released, 'cause I'd like to make some changes to it.

that it's up to antonis only. by me, i don't run that tool in ages. i'm choosing notepad instead, by several reasons, including modules creation. autopatcher has several issues at Title= and Description= regarding non-english languages. for Description=, it can be bypassed by saving the modules as UTF-8 instead ANSI, but it doesn't help a bit for Title=. so, letters like á é ã will look crazy. it's an minor issue? perhaps. but every time that an english users sees "Security update for", in my language we see "Atualização de segurança para", that will become a problem to read. due that, i had to write every single Title= as "Atualizacao de seguranca", that looks the same (at least, to those that don't pay attention). and this can't be fixed without update autopatcher.exe himself

KB966315 and KB967632 aren't present at vista x64 script. and, for sure, it will not be. i was updating this one, but i don't run this OS, but i don't have time, desire or health to keep working like an slave like i'm doing. so, i'm sorry to say this, but i will be forced to drop the vista x64 script

I might look at helping, at least with Server 2003, but I thought it might be easier to try to learn by doing it with the editor first before using notepad, but I'd like to make some changes, like being able to browse for the detection file then typing in the path and filename.

And I understand about the thunderstorms, with the power grid out here if you don't shutdown if not unplug for every thunderstorm, then there a better chance of getting damage then in other areas. 10 years ago lightning hit our phone lines and wiped out all the equipment plugged into the phone lines and anything else plugged into those things.

Unicode might be possible to add now a days, since the last time the engine was updated was in 2007 and there is now source code for adding unicode.

Brazil is the world champion for thunder. i don't unplug everything in every storm, but every time that one starts, everything goes out of the plug at once, even my phone. ok, one of my phones stay plugged, but just one

Which is why I'd rather have a browse button instead. I program in VB6, but I'm more of a medium level programmer, which is why I thought the editor would probably easier to figure out. Does Antonis check pm's, or what's the best way to ask him?
