Hey one and all.

After going through all the ENU (English) apup scripts with a fine comb, there should now be no verification errors unless you actually have a corrupt download.

Is my assumption above correct?

Hi Erik,

I've tested the following ENU scripts:

Windows XP Beta 3.3 (27 November 2007)

Still received a file failed verification notification at the end (looked in logfile, but could not see any problems). Calculate showed 481.17MB / 481.17MB
At a second re-run, all files checked OK, with no hash mismatches. In the subsequent run, no file were downloaded.

Windows 2000 Beta 1.2 (26 November 2007)

Still received a file failed verification notification at the end (looked in logfile, but could not see any problems). Calculate showed 260.56MB / 258.45MB
At a second re-run, all files checked OK, with no hash mismatches. In the subsequent run, no file were downloaded.

Windows XP/2003 (x64) Beta 2.2 (30 November 2007)

Still received a file failed verification notification at the end (looked in logfile, but could not see any problems).
At a second re-run, all files checked OK, with no hash mismatches. In the subsequent run, no file were downloaded.

It seems runtime error(0) has disappeared completely. All the above was done twice - completely from scratched and in different directories

I made some more tweaks to both the ENU XP and 2000 scripts. Could you try downloading both lists again?

There is a Runtime Error 0 if there is no internet connection... Does this count?

Thats actually being looked at in the background by our team. In this thread, I'm look for any verification errors for the ones that can download everything.

Don't worry about your issue, we are looking at it =)

Today I corected some more hash issues to the ENU XP/2003 x64 pack. If anybody could give me a heads up about this one too, I would appreciate it

I've just tested a full download of ENU XP and 2000 scripts - both downloaded without any errors. It seems that they both can be marked as stable.

XP (x86) - download size 479.47Mb / 479.47Mb
2000 - download size 258.86Mb / 258.86Mb

I did not re-download the entire lists, but with the updates made in the last week I received no file verification errors!

Has anyone have the downloads just stop...? According to the log, it downloads the file, it looks like it reads the queue again, and stops.. Here is the last part of the log.
Settings\brian\Desktop\apup\modules\Components\directx_files\directx_nov2007_redist.exe
MD5 Hash matches (B1CD797AB2ABC148F0AE045C206250C7).
Finished adding downloads. Process queue.
Download queue status: 95 files waiting.
WindowsXP-KB927802-x86-ENU.exe: Download complete.
Download queue status: 94 files waiting.

Hi Brian,

Stopping while downloading is a common problem, but when you run apup.exe again it normally starts again with the download. I've experienced that before, but only when the bandwidth is low (most of the cases a problem at Microsoft server).

As you probably know 99.9% of all downloads come from the Microsoft download server, and only a small % from the autopatcher server.

I'm getting one on install_flash_player_plugin.msi

Starting detection routine for item FlashPlayer x86 Non IE
Looking for file I:\Patches\AutoPatcher Updater\modules\AddOns\flashplayer_files\install_flash_player_plugin.msi
MD5 Hashes do NOT match. Expecting 2EF955254A085338E37B4B48833863F5, but found 526136e4b02b6a2a0370f4c59302683c!!!

Oddly, the file completion bar says
4.19 MB / 4.19 MB (100%), whilst the overall completion bar says
4.19 MB / 3.79 MB (110%) !

Hi guys,

I am still getting a verification error!

Strange thing is though i dont seem to find any problem in the log.

The only thing that i am selecting is XP x86 v3.3
And i am using the latest apup.

It looks like its a problem with windows_components_xp_x86_enu.zip.

Any one also having this problem?

Regards.

@Stan - This was my fault since I was trying some test modules which had incorrect MD5's on purpose. Everything should be better now.

I'll take a look at it later on tonight after I'm done making a living =) It would be helpful though if you could post apup log. You can do this by running apup with a /log command and then searching for anything with !! in it. **The log is quite long!**
