you highlight the link for the script and right-click it. then, edit, copy (or control C)
then, you click into your browser address bar and erase the link that may be in there. after that, you paste the script link and hit go. then, the script will be loaded into your browser and you just need to save it.
the other possible approach is run apup and select only the script that you wanna choose as template and proceed as any other apup download. after the end, don't press exit in apup and look into the apup folder. you will notice an temp folder in there, where all temporary files for apup are stored. you will find in there the script file and the compressed modules. so, all you have to do is select all those files (or just the .script file), copy and save it in a safe location and then edit that file
