First off my apologies if this has already been addressed but i cannot find a solution to this problem anywhere.


everytime i run apup.exe i get the error verification failed

I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it from ur website and ensuring it sits in the root drive that is
c:\apup, but it still happens.

Can any of you awesome ppl at AP help me to stop pulling my hair out over this issue

BTW the hit this to generate a log file doesnt generate a log.

my friend, screenshots doesn't help a bit, because we don't how many and what releases you are downloading at same time. the file "hit this..." should be working, if apup.exe and that file are in the same folder. but certain Anti-virus suites, like kaspersky have issues with apup that doesn't allow apup work properly. we have opened at least 2 support requests with KAS already and, for booth, they just sent an CP of an "how to" that doesn't help a bit to solve kas 2010 x apup issues. by the way, their CP was for the 2009 version and we asked about the 2010 version. so, they even bother to read support requests

if you are running KAS 2010, the only one thing that we know that will solve your issue is hit the "exit" button, thanks to the poor support that i've already have seen. kas may have an way to bypass that, but they don't tell. so...

if you still is unable to take an log, please try run apup manually with this argument: apup /log

that will generate an log for apup. without an log, we can't figure the issue.

Ok i just tried again and this time it generated a log file

as for rootcerts, this one was in deed updated by ms. it is now v22,0,2195,0. the script will be updated tonight to math. as for OGACheckControl.dll, i don't know. probably this one was updated too. that will be checked and fixed tonight. as for the .apm files, that will require an check too, one by one... well, now that we know where look for an issue, those issues can be tracked and will be fixed. hopefully, tonight

yeah tonight hopefully fingers crossed, no rush though, as i updated from ms anyway, just when u guys have the time. But thank you again for acknowledging my responses with yours.

the rootcert issue and the rti file for the xp enu was fixed. sorry, but i'm fixing 4 machines at same time in here right now and one of those is my own. my hd is now back and i need test and install everything all again for yesterday with this one. i will take a look into the other issues tomorrow, if possible

Thank you cristiano for ur professionalism and prompt replies, I have run apup.exe again, no errors, it came up saying no files to download so i can only assume that means i have everything now. But that verification error hasnt come up again.


You are a true professional Cristiano, you see things through to the end and as user of your software, i fully appreciate it.
