MSXML 4.0 SP3 download down

hotchpotch's Photo hotchpotch 29 Sep 2009

Hi,

Did an AutoPatcher update, it downloaded a large amount of data ~ 1.3 GB and then stopped with a verification failed error.

So reran it, and generated a log file [attached].
Attached File  apup.txt (9.15K)
downloads: 3

Essentially, the following download link for MSXML 4.0 SP3 is down - this may not be the only error, of course.

Broken link: http://download.micr...A177E/msxml.msi

Your help is appreciated, as is your product. It will save people I know time, and money [broadband limits].

Thank you!

Edit: I had to rename the apup.log file to apup.txt to upload it. You may want to let your forum allow upload of files with .log extension, so that other people dont get stuck!

The link worked for me and the file matched that of the script.

Also, click the Help button (blue ?) when posting for tips on using layout tools such as posting log files - I used "spoiler" for your log.

Spoiler

BTW, I had no problems with IE7-WindowsXP-KB972260-x86-ENU.exe either, you might look at your connection.

Thanks for the responses!

Interesting. Will try with a VPN service and see if that works any better.

Edit - yes, seems to be working [the links]. Thank you!

Re the spoiler - good for inline logs, but attachment logs would seem to be preferred? Dont know what you folks prefer, just my thought/suggestion, rather than a criticism.

no. attachments could have a lot of things inside. inside any post, well, it's always plain text
