If you know you updated the Office Addon Pack without issue - no errors and no files were needed you may have a stray file
causing the Office Addon Pack to show as unofficial, if this is the case we need to identify and remove the stray.

If you would, rerun APUP (creating a log file - apup.exe /log) only selecting Office Addon Pack to update and post the log
also note if any APUP errors occur or files were needed.

If you should have an extra file within your release, if you could create an md5 of the release and then if I were to run the
md5 against my release it should show me the missing file (this will be the stray). You may also have a file that is not good
and the md5 is a mismatch - rerunning APUP should let you know this as well - report back please.

BTW, this isn't really a Bug Report related to AutoPatcher or APUP rather it is an Office Addon Pack issue so please post in
the proper forum next time - no worries though just letting you know.

Here is a .7z file that contains an .md5 for just the Office Addon Pack, unzip the file and place the .md5 in the
\modules folder where your Office Addon Pack release is located, run the md5 on the release, if you get a clean
bill of health - some programs show 100% or Complete then you likely have an extra file somewhere, if 1 or more files
show a mismatch (bad md5sum this file needs to be updated to match that of the latest script).

You will want to put the md5 file in the same location as the 2 folders (\OfficeAddons and \oga) and the 2 .apm files
(office_addons.apm and windows_oga.apm). Of course you will need a program to run the md5 if you don't already, I like
HashCheck Shell Extension - there are many others available.

When I can figure out how to upload the .7z I will...

This should work, I'm not sure why I couldn't use the full editor to edit my previous post, when clicked it did nothing.

Anyway here it is if you need it.

Note: Some additional FYI
In Windows Explorer if you right-click the 2 Office Addon Pack folders you should get the following properties, if there
are more files, folders or a size discrepancy this is where the problems lies (I hope :D ).

\OfficeAddons -> 110 Files - 59 Folders - Size: (113,677,127 bytes)

\oga -> 4 Files - 1 Folder - Size: (700,873 bytes)

i don't know, but the server seems to be going slow today. i'm trying to perform an download test with this one, just to see if there's an changed update and a'm getting troubles to reach the forum and the releases.list. also, in the log from the download test i can see this:
office_oga.7z: The attempt to connect timed out
__msword_enu_20090809.7z: The attempt to connect timed out
__msvisio_enu.7z: The attempt to connect timed out

sometimes, like now, the download hangs in the middle. without end an download test, i can't pinpoint if there's an missing file. all that i know so far is that the files that are downloaded from ms server seems to be in order. if this is an temporary issue from our server, it will be solved by himself in a few hours. our server is shared with many others, so...

but i will keep trying finish this test

The missing or corrupt apm is different from the folder you deleted - don't go backwards by deleting more files / folders it will
only make this discussion more confusing. The problem is with the savepdf_enu.apm file, you may need to manually download it and
place it in the appropriate folder, I'm not sure why you can't update the file by running APUP - are you getting errors or having
problems updating the release?

BTW, HashCheck uses the term Unreadable for missing files, I believe MisMatch is for corrupt files.

I would extract the contents of this .7z file and get the savepdf_enu.apm and place in the correct folder - C:\Autopatcher\modules\OfficeAddons\savepdf_enu.apm
savepdf_enu.apm is in this .7z

I would rerun APUP like before and see if everything checks out - please get back.

Cristiano is correct, the servers have been a little crazy today but I was able to download manually the .7z file you need
that has the missing savepdf_enu.apm you need - give it a shot if you so desire but it is true this should be easily done
by running APUP to update the release but sometimes you need to be creative.

Important Update: The savepdf_enu.apm is Missing from office_addons_20090822.7z

Here you go - extract the apm and place it here -> \modules\OfficeAddons\savepdf_enu.apm

Since you deleted \OfficeAddons\savepdf_enu.apm_files\SaveAsPDFandXPS.exe you may need to run APUP again to
recreate the folder and download the missing executable.

BTW, can't an existing post be edited to upload an attachment? I click edit and hit Use Full Editor but nothing
happens???

Hmm, anyway, let us know if you get your Office Addon Pack to show as Official!

If you did download the HashCheck program (it is a good utility to have), the following image shows
a bit about the findings...Hash Status

...MATCH (green) - of course means a file's md5 is good
...MISMATCH (red) - bad md5 hash, incomplete file etc
...UNREADABLE (yellow) - this one can be misleading! The image shows no information regarding the file size so in this case
UNREADABLE means MISSING, but UNREADABLE can also mean the file is being protected by the operating system so HashCheck is
unable to test the md5 - the file size and md5 may be good but the program does not have access to the file.

ok, download test ended. office_addons_20090822.7z was missing savepdf_enu.apm. fixed, but the connection with the server was interrupted several times. those files seems to be in order now. to fix, just select the same script again. i didn't changed the script name because the connection is too instable right now.

sorry for my delay, but as i said, the connection is too instable right now

then i run autopatcher.exe and i got my autopatcher is official release.
to ensure if my autopatcher was ok, i installed it to my computer.

@romes

Glad to see you got it fixed, but, as always I'm confused and curious, you don't have to respond.

romes said:

This is very strange and I have to assume you are either trying to run it (the md5 file) against a CD or thumb drive or the release
is located in a strange location and the program can't properly read the files. If the release is on a local hard drive and HashCheck
was properly installed and the md5 was placed in the proper location the md5 should have no problem scanning the release
- remember UNREADABLE is either MISSING or PROTECTED files. Something is not right at your end.

...My Office Addon Pack Scan Results!

romes said:

I'm not sure where exactly the release was located before but this may have something to do with the md5 scan errors, regardless
you're good to go. BTW, you don't really install the release you more or less just Copy or Move it from one location to the other.
The updates on the other hand do get installed (using AutoPatcher).

for each enu release, there's an .md5 file. can you please download an md5 checker, like hksfv and check the checksums in your apup folder with the content of each one of your md5 files? it's very fast. with hksfv, you can even check "hide good" and just right-click the ones that doesn't match to point them.

also, another thing that can help is create an md5 file from your apup folder to allow us check in our side. sometimes, this issues of unofficial happen due rogue files or due an old release that was updated and this help a lot to track those issues

edit: my bad. i didn't saw you image. i've checked the
rootcert module
that is being downloaded. the file match. so, it can be in deed an download error, that apup shall fix if you run the same script again

thanks
