I know APUP beta is, well, still beta but I thought I would mention a few things, the main issue is the Run-time error.

Positive:
I'm sure the most important is better proxy and Kaspersky support, I can't test either - I hope these features are working.

I do like the bigger font. The resizable window was in the previous release as well, which I have been using for months with no
problems (apupbeta.exe was functioning as well as apup.exe).

Some Drawbacks (for me anyway):
I don't like that the new beta removed the ability of APUP to recognize existing rti files and auto select the releases in the
selections window - we are back to the 3 defaults - AutoPatcher Updater, AutoPatcher Engine, and the installed OS.

There seems to be an issue (for me?) with being able to minimize the window, if I use either Minimize(-) or click the taskbar, apupbeta
will error out with a Run-time error '0' pop-up. The beta doesn't seem to have an issue with Maximizing and then back to default or
resizing by dragging the window - it is only the 2 ways to minimize the application - Minimize(-) or click the application in the taskbar
- both result in a Run-time error '0'

apup doesn't have proxy support yet. but it will have

> I hope these features are working
we too. but more tests must be done, not only to know is is working for kas, but also for other security suites too. but the general idea was have an solution better than hit the exit button

> auto select the releases
that was done do avoid wrong releases be downloaded forever. just imagine that you don't need an xyz release, but you have downloaded that once, by mistake. until the user remove the .rti file, the same mistake will happen over and over again

> out with a Run-time error '0' pop-up
confirmed and noted

ok. the bug was found and fixed. this version also has implemented in it not only KIS's fix - but also - resizable window + fix for wrong 'Date' field displaying in ListView control. the download link remains the same. if stable enough, this version will do until the version with proxy + curl be ready. but for now, the really urgent issue was fix apup for kas 2010

I misspoke here, what I meant to say was the window had been resized (made larger) - sorry

I thought I would followup with 2 thumbs up on the quick fix to apupbeta RC2 (my words) - RC3 seems to
be an improvement. I thought I would offer a few comparison images of RC1 and RC3, mostly want you to
see the different text layout within the Finish screen?

Available Releases /// Finish Screen

Just a thought: I wonder if the Available Releases window could auto-size the Release Name section to be
slighly larger than the release.list title?

good idea, i will ask that to the developers. also, there's another version that will come out soon. you know, we have broken commands with apup, like ren, etc. after an certain point, those commands doesn't work anymore and releases go unofficial. the kas issue could be done in 2 ways. the current solution (that will be an option into apup screen in the next few hours) or an better one, with an built-in version of those commands, without that limitation. this will be done too. also, the port to curl is already being done, nice and easy. after that, our life could become easier. of course, to the user side of the story, a lot easier too

as for the screens change, some things are being changed, in deed :)

Code for other programming languages also.

looks like my attachment was not added...
just go to the site and download it from there - can't remember if you have to register (Free) but it is worthwhile for all the other source code

Rezizable window's form is implemented already))

P.S> auto-sizing the Release Name section will be added in new beta)))
