I moved to Windows 7 x64 about the time when the RC1 came out, and stayed on the same train. Now i have latest Win7 x64 UE.
My question is : Does the AP download all the neccessary updates for the Win7 even if its being run from fully updated win7 system or do I need to run it on clean system (lets say fresh installed via VMware) to be able to detect all the neccessary updates?
Is x64 win7 supported?

Uhm... I think YES. I've not tried on an upgraded system but only on clean installed on VMWare or real machine.

AP downloads everything no matter what updates are on the current system.. if the updates are compatible with the module you download that is

Why arent DirectX, .NET, Java and other packs considered available releases for Win7 by APUP?
They are neccessary as far as I know... right?
Well I am off to start making a new AIO install disc of Win7 from scratch... god help me

Win 7 script, or is this a detection issue?
Any release that is compatible with Win 7 will be updated to include the proper detections so the package will load in AutoPatcher
when run from a Windows 7 system, and will likely be a separate download - hang loose, the project is moving forward, there is a lot
of work to do and only a few people doing it.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium right now. I wouldn't mind updating modules here and there if you don't have any objections...

Anyway I dont think .NET, directX and java will be problem, I use same as for Windows XP,
I also installed x64 versions of Java and .NET but as far as I know they are useless since I heard x64 apps use x32 java e.g., cause they are not really x64 native 100%

Once you use the Options in APUP (remember selections) the selections will be ticked when APUP is run a second time.
The Java is based on the browser you use - 32-bit browser / 32-bit Java - 64-bit browser / 64-bit Java -> More Info!
