AP is allowed by my firewall. Tried to run again and here's the message I get:
"One or more files failed verification. Please run Auto-Patcher Updater.".
Ran it 4 times with same result

the log can't be in blank. it has to show at least infos about your your system, even if it is blocked by an proxy or firewall. by instance, those are the infos when i run it in a machine that is behind an firewall and running an version of apup that doesn't have proxy support:
APUP Has Started Operating System: Brazil (1046) Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 Current Locale: Portuguese - Brazil / Non-Unicode Default: Portuguese - Brazil Starting APUP From: C:\CPD\Temp Date & Time: 10-nov-2009 16:38 UTC Offset: -3 ***Downloading/Processing Releases.list*** List file HTTP location: http://www.autopatcher.com/releases.list Exit button has been pressed!!!
so, your log should run at least those infos. can you please at least provide more infos about the scripts that you are picking, your OS and about the name of your security software? without that, we don't know where to look and there's several scripts that can be downloaded through apup
