First, Thanks team for the best utility on earth.

I have been using AP for years on my XP Pro. I am now doing a clean install of genuine OEM MCE 2005 disks on my sister's HP media center rig. I have installed all drivers and SP3 without issue. I assume there are some updates specific to MCE that are not included in AP but can I still use AP to install other critical updates and tweak the registry? Would it be better to use the newer script or the old?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Michael Sandstrom :)

oh well, the current xp scripts was designed to work under XP_SP2_X86,XP_SP3_X86 mostly. according to the briefing from most of the updates, ms states that those updates aim xp sp2 and sp3 only. the tweaks will work anyway, if is an windows xp, any edition. i remember that the old scripts had some updates for mce, but those was removed ages ago, most of them with sp3. the old versions for autopatcher could work under mce, but the old versions was designed to sp2 only. since that, a lot of updates was superseeded by other updates. so, in your case, i believe that WU is an better choice

also, another issue: we don't have any mce version in order to test for missing updates or even test if some of the updates applies to mce :(

Thank you. WU for the updates and AP for the tweaks will suffice.
