In step 1 of Setup there is a note which says in the PDF "Note: there are only two files you should have right now..."
Yet in my setup zip folder I have 3 - the odd one is a cmd file that is named "hit this to generate a log file for apup"
Is this a legitimate file or a rogue?

it's an legit file. that "hit this" file was included months ago to help those that may have some difficulty on generating the logs for apup (logs must be done from command-line). no one remembered about an pdf file stating otherwise. i will try find that pdf file (that i don't know right now where it is) and update that file. in meantime, if you know where that pdf file is, please state that

ok. i've found that file into our ftp. i'm trying to find the source for that file. if not possible, i will re-do that file later

done, pdf file updated. that file was created by Erik and he didn't uploaded the source for that guide. another issue: he doesn't even reply any mail. with the tools to retrieve the source from pdf files, the result was pure garbage. so, i've edited the pdf himself. the result isn't the best possible, but i've added this info:
