Hi,

It seems my proxy is blocking me from downloading the Released List although I can easily view it by going direc to that address in Firefox. Is there anyway that I can set the APUP.exe file (via a switch) to look at the released file, rather than attempt to download it.

Thanks
Aharon

@Weinbaum

Are you using the updated apup.exe (v1.2), it has proxy support? If not, you will want to download the zip file, and because you only
need the updated apup.exe I would extract the zip to a temp folder, and then "copy" or "move" it to your \apup folder and over-write
the existing file. latest apup.zip - v1.2

Note: After you replace (update apup.exe),
...Run apup.exe (v1.2) - click "Options" tab - check "Use Proxy" (input information) - if needed check "Proxy requires authentication" (input information)
...Click OK to close Options - click Exit to close APUP and restart to allow the changes to take affect.

Please report if you have success, hopefully you will :)

Hi

Many thanks for your kind reply. My browser is currently set to "Detect proxy settings automatically". I did use the setting that was previously there and it errors immediately. Is there a way you can see what the auto-detect proxy setting is?

Thanks
Aharon

i don't know if it will works to you, but try go to start menu, run and then type like this:
cmd [enter]
proxycfg [enter]

now, take a note in all infos that are showed. in those infos, there's your proxy settings (or should be. i'm not behind an proxy right now to be sure. but tomorrow morning i will be)
