Windows Desktop Search Add-Ins

While waiting for AutoPatcher for Windows 7, I currently install the optional updates and Add-Ins offered by AP manually.
My question involves Windows Desktop Search Add-Ins:
Add-in for Files on Microsoft Networks
Add-in for Internet Explorer History
Add-in for Outlook Saved Mail (.msg file) indexing
Are these files needed for WDS v4 with Win7 or are they too old (MS website released 2007) and unnecessary at this point?
I cannot determine either way.
